About Taconic Resources
 

Taconic Resources for Independence, Inc. (TRI) is a center for independent living. TRI serves Dutchess County New York. Our services are available to people with disabilities, and their families, friends, and our community.

TRI is one of over 38 centers for Independent Living (CIL’s) in New York State. We are base-funded by the New York State Department of Education (VESID). We are mandated to be consumer-directed, and community oriented.

Our goals are to assist people with disability to be as active, and independent as the desire, and educate, and involve our community in disability issues.

TRI’s staff is comprised of 75% persons with disabilities. Our Board of Directors is made up of 51% people with disabilities.
